Getting ready for our history day on 21st August

It’s all go here and we hope that many of you will come and see all the displays and events on the afternoon of 21st August in Minster Lovell. It will be well signposted and it’s right next to the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall so easy to find. Parking and toilets available (including disabled).

The book has been published and is full of stories from people in the village. The giant family tree is now printed after a little setback with a printer. We won’t have everyone up on the walls but all 6500 of them will be on the PC so come and check your Minster Lovell family. We have photos, maps of the houses and immigration/emigration, stories…so much. Plus stands from Historical Societies, local groups, and everything from military to farming to police history, gravestone inscriptions, souvenirs, three films on continuous show in our film area. Lots of entertainment: re-enactors, archery, Morris dancing, singers, pole lathing, medieval cookery, tours of the ruins and a quiz. So many people have worked so hard for this event so do come and support us. We look forward to seeing you there.
